The University

The university Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith had been established in the that period of time when the non-co-operative movement of Gandhi Jee against British government to get complete independence was progressing day-to –day. In this context, Dr Bhagwan Das and Shri Shiv Prasad Gupt wished to establish this university in a way which is not dependent to British ordinances and grants; for, the universities granted under British governance was compelled the students to follow the British Govemment made curriculum in which the curriculum was kept separated quietly from Indian Culture.
